So here we are; 27 days on the market and feeling ecstatic and at the same time like I’ve been living on the craziest, fastest, roller coaster I could have possibly jumped onto. Despite planning for this moment for years, I realized that you can never really be prepared for what actually happens.
A few lessons I have/am learning along the way:
1) Stay flexible! You can’t believe where life will take you if you just remember to remain flexible along your journey.
2) ALWAYS be grateful. As a ‘one woman whisky show’ – I can honestly say that I couldn’t do what I’m doing without you. Every single one of you. Every purchase, every tweet, every facebook comment, etc makes a different and for your support, I am truly grateful.
3) Laugh at yourself. If you’ve met me, you can probably quickly asses that I’m unapologetically myself .. and I have a LOT of energy, enthusiasm and love to give and find myself often caught up in the excitement of the moment. Put that together and I often say things that don’t come out exactly as I had hoped they might, or hug someone after just meeting them when it would have probably been a bit more appropriate to just go with the standard hand-shake, but that’s what makes me me. And if you can’t laugh at yourself when you slip up then things can get awkward pretty quickly. So go ahead, chuckle at yourself and realize that at the end of the day, we’re all just bumping along on our own personal journeys.
So, I’m off to my 27th night out in a row to try and return a little of the support that all of you have shown me. On behalf of the present and future of Brenne, I THANK YOU!
